History & Community |

In 1989, the Jurupa Unified School District (JUSD) established Jurupa Valley High School (JVHS) in Mira Loma, California, a semi-rural area of Riverside County. JVHS is located near the junction of the 15 and 60 freeways and is one of three comprehensive high schools in the Jurupa Unified School District. Jurupa Valley High School students come primarily from the communities of Pedley, Mira Loma, Glen Avon, and Sky Country. The school mascot is represented by the jaguar and the school colors are blue, white, and silver. The mission of JVHS is to create a dynamic learning environment that meets the needs of all students and provides each individual the opportunity to succeed in future college or career choices.
Jurupa Valley High School strongly encourages parents to become involved and offers many opportunities for them to contribute to the overall school program. Involvement in the school site process can include being an active member on the School Site Council (SSC), English Language Advisory Committee (ELAC), sports booster clubs, band or choir boosters, volunteering, and other extracurricular parent groups. If you are interested in becoming involved in one of these groups, please contact the school at (951) 360-2600.
