Students from Jurupa Valley High School (JVHS) come from a variety of backgrounds. Current school enrollment is approximately 1,900 students. Of those students, approximately 75% are Hispanic, 20% White, 2% African American, and 3% other. In addition, 28% of JVHS students are designated as English Learners. With these demographics in mind, JVHS provides many opportunities for each student to become successful. Not only does JVHS offer students access to the core curriculum, the school also offers courses in AVID, Business, Auto, Computer Technology, Video Production, Photography, Ceramics, and Agriculture. Students may also become involved with our award winning performing arts programs (Choir, Theater, and Band). JVHS offers a variety of athletic programs including; Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Baseball, Softball, Swimming, Water Polo, Track, Cross Country, Tennis, Soccer, and Cheer. For the students who want to take a part in student leadership, JVHS offers ASB (Associated Student Body) and Peer Leadership (Paw Pride) programs. For the academically focused students, JVHS also offers a variety of Advanced Placement (AP) courses including; AP English Literature (12), AP English Language (11), AP Government and Politics (12), AP United States History (11), AP World History (10), AP Spanish Literature, AP Spanish Language, AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, AP Biology, AP Chemistry (alternating years), and AP Psychology (alternating years).
